Tuesday, March 9th: Day 10

When we got up nice and late ("late," means 8:30. I know, painful right?) Navy and I turned on MTV (I'm so glad the hotel has it) and watched yet another morning of annoyingly catchy songs. Today was the day we went to just look around Naples. We took a tour of underground naples, which featured a greek amphitheater, and a roman aqueduct. (our tour guide had an awesome german accent.) The coolest thing on the tour, was actually the story Don had told us before we left. Nero had held 6,000 people locked up in the amphitheater while he acted all the parts in all the Greek plays known. the only people who got to leave early were the ones who pretended to be dead.

Lunch was interesting because the food was INSANELY cheap. I got a small baguette for a snack, and it only cost .35 euro cents! After lunch we took the subway to the other side of Naples and walked over to the bay so we could see the Mediterranean. Even though the weather was kind of bipolar (cold and rainy) it was still pretty in its own way. We were all kind of cold by then so we stopped to get coffee. because it was one of those sidewalk seating places, it was expensive, but i liked my caffe latte, and i thought everyone was making a big deal out of nothing (the people who ordered hot chocolate literally got melted chocolate.)

When we got back to the hotel, we got to use the computer (yes! ^.^)  and I was happy to email everyone, even for the crazy price.
